In response to major changes in the markets for recycled materials, the Starke County Environmental District is restructuring the county recycling system. Effective December 1, 2018 all current county recycling collection sites will be closed permanently and collection bins will be removed.
The District is currently constructing a new county recycling facility at 3835 E 250 N, Knox Indiana. When ready for operation, this site will be open for use by all Starke County Residents. The new site will be gated and secured, and all material collection will be under the direct supervision of District personnel.
Detailed information about the new county recycling system will be available soon.
