STARKE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION 2020- 021
COVID-19 RELIEF FOOD DELIVERY PROGRAM EXTENSION
WHEREAS, on June 15, 2020 the Board of Commissioners of Starke County, Indiana (the “Commissioners”) adopted a Resolution authorizing a food delivery program for COVID-19 pandemic relief for low and moderate income citizens, including elderly citizens and others vulnerable to the effects of COVID-19, and also to low and moderate income residents subject to occupational displacement caused by COVID-19 pandemic countermeasures, business closures and social distancing; and,
WHEREAS, the Commissioners find that the effects of the COVID-IO pandemic are continuing in Starke County, and that the need for the food delivery program is ongoing; and,
WHEREAS, the Commissioners find that the food delivery program has been a vital service for Starke County citizens affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated countermeasures, and to Starke County food establishments, and that the program should continue, subject to funding limitations.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Commissioners that:
The Commissioners express their appreciation and support for the food delivery program and the many people and organizations that have contributed to its success, and hereby approve the continuation of the program subject to funding limitations.
